This is a tech I made a wile back.

I think you seen the movie "My Favorite Martian" too many time. :P

It's spelled Martian.

Elimnator, I think before you release the faction you should list all the names so people on the board who can speak good English(like me) can check the spellings.
No offense, it's just nice to have everything spelled correctly.

Hey, don't go around pointing out typos, I was in a hurry.

Elimnator I'm not trying to attack you I'm just suggesting that you have spelling checked before you release the faction.

I don't think that those models look anything like in "My Favorite Martian".  A closer comparison would be the "marauding" aliens in "Chicken Little".

Mark I mean the "Martin" misspelling thing.
You know how in the movie "My Favorite Martian", there's that Martian called Uncle Martin.
Well you probably see the connection.

Okay, a little off topic here, but since this topic isn't getting much publicity, ElimNator shouldn't mind.  ;)  :D , Archtmage, I have not seen "My Favorite Martian" enough to catch that.

It's been up one day... If you want to talk off topic and have nothing to add post it in the off topic topic.

Good work ElimNator.

It's a bit hard to see the foreground in some of the icons.

Good to see you are using svn but the download could be smaller if you exported it first (20MB+ of unused .svn files). Also there are a lot of backup files that could be removed (files ending in ~). The size is fairly large (about 118MB extracted) compared to magic and tech factions which are under 40MB.

Hmm, I've noticed these. I am feeling stupid right now, whats an SVN? And why are those backup files generated? I noticed them a lot in titi's work too. Personally, I sometimes add a ~ to a debug version of my xmls, but never realized that it was backups... Hmm, is this some linux thing?

Only problems is the the annoying SVN files.

SVN, also known as Subversion, creates revisions of files allowing you to roll back if something happens and allows collaboration through merging of text files, etc.

The backup files are created by some text editors (I know kwrite does it). They shouldn't take up as much space as the svn files, because it stores a complete copy of a binary file and there are quite a few.

I did an export of this faction and it saved about 30MB.

Ah! Had heard the term a lot, but had no clue what it did, thanks.

Why don't you upload your 'exported' version for this mod?

@Eliminator: Why not use notepad++? I'll guarentee you it is the best text-editor (plain) ever. If you are doing programing in pretty much any language, including XML, it is your new best friend. It is the ONLY text editor I'll endorse! It has powerful features, blazing fast speed, great syntax highlighting, tons of tools and more! I'll guarentee sucess or my name isn't OMEGA! (Ok, my name isn't really omega, but that's not the point :D).

Hmm, that sounds a lot like an ad. Best ad I've ever seen. Sure does beat those junky things that claim to sell mobile phone plans...

I advised Elimnator to make a megapack of his many factions, so I'll download this one in the megapack.
