. but seriously, is this supposed to be any particular part of roman History? the cammilen millitairy? the plebain Militairy? the post marain military? will there he Hastiti, Princepes, and Triariai, or maybe just the antesignani or cohors Reformata? the romans also had some pretty mean artillery, even a thirty foot long ballista, if I am right.

Well this is just a start many things will be changed in the future.
So far it's not very historically accurate but we could design a more accurate one.
This one is just based on the romans, although not very accurately.

I look forward to playing it, accurate or not, I am a big ancient army fan boy. I think a more accurate one would be really cool, though I don't know how to mod.also aone about gaulish\germanic barbarians would be great. I wish I could help you guys somehow.

Well me and Eliminator worked together on this one.
I did concept/ideas/tech trees/stats, that stuff.....
Eliminator, because of his speed with XMLs did those and also the models because I currently know very little about modeling.

I was thinking about asking Eliminator to make some more factions with me......
I have tons of ideas for a barbaric faction..........how 'bout it Eliminator.

ahem! nobody asked me about using my silver helm model... but thats okay, i'm glad its been of use, but as u can see a elven helmet does not fit the romans, try doing some research on roman helmets and u'll be glad u did.

I only used the helmet and breastplate texture and the helmet model, and I think that it looks close enough for now.
Most of them I rounded of the edges, but any way you wont be seeing that much of the helmet in glest anyway so it wont make a difference.

I like your progress, and I can see that is more fantastical than historical. Nice Job! I must say, however, that you should really use a roman helmet instead of a more renaissance dated open faced helm.

Oh, I am SO sorry! I looked at the image again and noticed the rest of the image. Before I only saw the first soldier, the spearman. That reminded me of the Barbute, an Italian helmet reminiscent of the greek Corinthian helmet. The other helmets are more realistic, but I think that spending more vertices on the head would be great. If you would like I could send you a blend of my perception of one.

Oh I just realized I had 0 downloads.

Yes, its really good mod! I have a problem with recognizing unit types. They all look very similar from the top, so you don't realy know what you will do. This should be improoved.
I added a screenshot to the first post, please replce it with a better one ( this one is bad )
