i didnt know where to state this, but my problem is when i want to trade resources.  i say we need a better system than making a unit that auto-dies. we all know that this doesnt work, the resources are instantly taken away when the unit dies.  this is why i am suggesting that we have a new resource type--"tradeable." this means that it would be identical to the "tech" resources, but does not need a model/take up space on the map, but it will add resources to your pool when "built".
maybe this idea should be a tag that can be applied to tech resources (so if you want to sacrifice wood for gold or any other combination) so that they can be on the map and trade-able at once.

Is it possible to create a command/action that doesn't use any of the "produce" commands but something else like the "stop" command? Have the requirements be something like "Costs 100 wood" and "Cost -10 gold" and then it should "sell" 100 wood for 10 gold, right? Because it'll cost 100 wood to activate, and give 10 gold (cost -10) when activated, and the only "action" it does is the stop command.

Maybe you could try something like that instead of trying to produce the resource. After all, it costs EP for the golem to move, what if it cost him EP to stop? lol

I believe it made invisible units for consumable and static resources, but for tech and tileset resources, it morphed into another version (same name, but with _'s at the end which appear as spaces), with negative resources.

Did you mean like trading like in Dark Magic faction, that trades magic for gold and stone?

Thanks! Wink
